(his two best friends geeking out about some game on the flatscreen while he burries himself in the corner with the 3DS, thats his hand in the whiteish blur)

So i'm here with my amazing boyfriend Tom for the weekend. he kidnapped me shortly after I got done with work Friday night, and whisked me away to his home in the teeny tiny town of Rome, WI. Unincorperated, but with a rad firedepartment (I only say that because he works for the firedepartment, not because I'm biased twards his or anything :P) I'm going to be here for the WHOLE weekend (well, at least another 2 ish days, since its already Sunday) and I'm so excited. I love spending time with him, his cat and his roomie's ferrets (yep, ferrets. They are so cute!) and i'm not looking forward to leaving to go back to work. Not because I dont like my job, but because i dont like leaving him. we get to see eachother roughly every 2 weeks, and while it is nice its also very painful on my part to leave. i feel like i belong here. partally because when i'm here his kitchen actually gets used and the house kinda sorta gets cleaned, and partally because i know it'll be another 2 weeks before i see him again. he makes me feel wanted and loved.

(the 3DS my wounderfuly awesome boyfriend gave me because he is awesome and I love him!)
But before i get super super mushy, I should move on to the next topic. The reason why he kidnapped me this weekend is because last night at midnight it was the premiere release of the 3DS. And of course, he got me one, even though I told him it was WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. But doe he listen to me? No! *sigh* What's a girl to do? Take it in stride of course! He got me a game called Monkey Balls and its basically a ripoff of Mario cart and super smash brothers combined. Its also multiplayer, which is why he got it. Its pretty fun, I only played a couple of rounds with his friend before I decided that 3am was my limit. I don't remember what time he came to bed, but I know it must have been late because I woke up at 10:45am and he still wasn't conscious.

Ok, first of all, people are just wierd. Did you know that when you type in 'anime girl with glasses' into Google half the shit you get is Hentai? Nope, I didn't either, and now I have coworkers going 'Uhhh....'

Anyway, I got new glasses today. Yey me, I can actually see the world through non-fucked up lenses! The computer screan seems 10X brighter, people are no longer fuzzy around the edges, and the dog has not had a chance to chew on them! The only thing is I have a slight headache now because it was such a derastic change from the old ones, but I think I look ten times better. Now only if I was not sick...

And now is the time I do my first product review! Well, I think. I just wanna mention Mucinex DM for its awesomeness at making my life so much easier. I mean, I'm still sick, but at least my lungs stay in place while I'm at work or sleeping. Which seems to be the only two things I do anymore. But anyway. Yes, Mucinex DM. Try it if you can, because it is amazing.

What else can I randomly ramble about? Hmm... Well as you can probably tell I'm trying to remodel the blog, again, with little sucess. I'm trying to find something thats cool, edgy, yet sophistocated, and something that handles 3 columns. If my friend who does awesome HTML work would EVER answer my messages, i'd have her design it. As it were, I think I might just take some classes in HTML so that I can do it myself. Who knows? It may come in handy later on.

So, in conclusion, Google is perverted, and Mucinex saved my life. XD

Almost all of the customers that I have talked to tonight have had that responce, either that or:

Old Blog- In Case Anybody Was Woundering!

I used to have 3 blogs: Random Ramblings of a Teenage Girl , Uncommon Crochet , and The Life and Times of Nikka the Stitch Witch . Just in case anybody was woundering. :)

Edit: again, this is a pattern I posted on Uncommon Crochet, but I'm just re-posting.

*sorry no pictures and the one that i had made I gave away but as soon as I have no more WIPs I'll make another and take pictures. This was my first written patterns so if there's any problems let me know. *

Hook- size H/8 (5mm)

large eye yarn needle

ribbon (optional)

Gauge: 17 sts= 4" in pattern stich
17 rows= 4" in pattern stitch

pattern stitch:

* sc in frount loop only of next ts, then sc in back loop only of next st, repeat from * all the way across, chain one, turn.

To begin: ch 51. sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across (50 sc) ch 1, turn.

Working on these sts, start Pattern Stitch and continue until you have completed 12".

End yarn by drawing tail through last st and weaving ends.

Work as for the fount.

ch 6, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across (5 sc) ch 1, turn.

keeping in sc, work on these sts until piece measures 16". end yarn by drawing tail through last st and weving ends.

Weave in any loose yarn ends.

With right sides facing each other, place the front and back pieces together. Sew together with matching color yarn.

Sew on handles. If desired, add ribbon to inside of handles to create a sturdy handle that wont stretch with use.

ch 11, turn.

SC in second st from hook and across, ch 1, turn. (10 sc)

Working in PATTERN STITCH, continue until desired length (mine was six inches) and finish off. Sew onto handle of bag. I'm left handed so i sewed it onto the right handle on the left side.

Really, this is just a compartment on the inside.

CH 6, turn

SC in each st across, (5 sc) ch 1, turn.

I used the PATTERN STITCH until it was about 4 inches, fastoned off and sewed it to the inside of the bag on the left corner.

I know its not perfect, and its really simple, but it works. You can line it or felt it if desired. hope you enjoy.

Old Pattern- Hip Wrysters

Hip Wrysters

Edit: This pattern comes from my old blog, Uncommon Crochet, and I just thought I'd re-post it. I still make 'em, and once I have a set I'll post a picture.

* this is rather delayed as I wrote this pattern awhile back, but I havnt had much time to do anything. Well, thats not true either. I've just been lazy. So, HUGE thanks to Tami for testing it for me, and all my friends at the 'ville. *

Its interesting, working for a living. Things start to snowball in sort of a rolercoster effect, leaving you breathless and speachless.
That is exactly what I feel like right now. I am very frustrated, flustered, and overwhelmed with everything that is going on right now. And yet, I still try to put on a brave smile, a happy face, and plunge through the day. When I get home, though, I feel worn out and wrung out. I grab what I can to eat, trudge up to my room, and drown my sorrows in Popcorn and Sour Cream and Onion chips. I fall asleep, only to repeat the cycle again.

I just feel really overwhelemed right now. Not sure why. And frustrated, even though there really isnt anything I should be frustrated about.

Type in Frustration into google... see what you get XD
